— In baseball, Washington Nationals acquired 1B Nathaniel Lowe from Texas, for lefty reliever Robert Garcia. Lowe hit .265 for Texas LY, with a .762 OPS.

— Mets re-signed lefty P Sean Manaea for three years, $75M; he was 12-6, 3.47 in 32 starts last year, has a career record of 77-62, 4.00 in 198 career starts.

— Phillies acquired lefty P Jesus Luzardo from the Marlins in a 4-player trade; the other three guys involved are all minor leaguers.

My lasting memory of Luzardo will always be when he was on the A’s, he was playing video games in the clubhouse, and broke his hand when he punched a table in anger because his video game didn’t go well. Not ideal.
