Monday’s Den: Wrapping up a surprisingly busy Sunday……..

NFL has an amazing capacity to stay in the headlines 50 weeks a year; here it is March 10 and they’re still getting headlines……..

— Buffalo Bills signed QB Josh Allen for six years/$330M, with $250M of that guaranteed; Allen is 83-40 as an NFL starter, 7-6 in playoff games.

Bills are opening a new stadium for the 2026 season; this announcement will encourage lot of fans to pay up for luxury suites and tickets.

— Buffalo released LB Von Miller Sunday, which opened $8.4M in salary cap space; Bills hope to re-sign the 35-year old Miller later this spring.

— Rams signed WR Davante Adams for two years, $46M; Adams caught 85 passes for 1,063 yards and 8 TD’s in 14 games for the Raiders/Jets last season.

This cements that the Rams will be trading WR Cooper Kupp.

— Seahawks got a 2nd-round pick from the Steelers for WR DK Metcalf, who caught 66 passes for 992 yards and 5 TD’s for Seattle last year. Metcalf will turn 28 in December, Kupp will be 32 in June, so Rams don’t figure to get a 2nd-round pick for him.

— Cleveland Browns gave DE Myles Garrett a 4-year, $160M contract extension, with $123.5M of that money guaranteed, making Garrett the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

— Minnesota Vikings signed RB Aaron Jones to a 2-year, $20M extension, with $13M of that money guaranteed. Jones had 1,138 rushing yards last year, another 408 yards receiving- he scored seven touchdowns in his first year with the Vikings.

— Atlanta Falcons signed LT Jake Matthews to a 2-year, $45M contract extension; the son of Hall of Famer Bruce Matthews, Jake Matthews has been a Falcon for his entire 11-year career.
